The Frenzied Flame Seal is one of the most unique catalysts available in Elden Ring, offering special scaling and boosting chaotic incantations. Obtaining this item requires players to follow a specific character questline that leads deep into the subterranean depths beneath the Capital City. Understanding each step of this journey ensures that players do not accidentally miss critical interactions along the way.
Starting Hyetta's Questline in Liurnia
Acquiring the Frenzied Flame Seal relies entirely on completing the questline given by Hyetta, a blind maiden found early in your journey. You will first encounter her near the Lake-Facing Cliffs site of grace after navigating past Stormveil Castle. She requires Shabriri Grapes to guide her distant sight across the Lands Between.
As you progress, Hyetta moves through several locations across Liurnia of the Lakes, including the Purified Ruins and the Gate Town Bridge. Delivering three Shabriri Grapes enables her to continue traveling northward toward Bellum Church. Later on, she will request a Fingerprint Grape, which is obtained by invading and defeating Festering Fingerprint Vyke near the Church of Inhibition.
Descending to the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds
Once you satisfy Hyetta's requests in Liurnia, the quest directs you into the labyrinthine sewers beneath Leyndell. Navigating the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds requires careful exploration to reach the deepest chamber known as the Forsaken Depths. Here, players must defeat Mohg, the Omen, to unlock access to the hidden doorway located directly behind his arena altar.
Behind the altar lies a perilous platforming section where players must descend down a vertical shaft using protruding stone coffins. Reaching the floor safely reveals the Frenzied Flame Proscription site of grace, where Hyetta will be waiting nearby. This serves as the final staging area before sealing your character's fate with the Three Fingers.
Inheriting the Flame and Claiming the Seal
To finalize the quest, players must remove all equipped armor and weapons before interacting with the ominous scorched door at the end of the hallway. Passing through triggers a cutscene where your character receives the blessing of the Three Fingers. After inheriting this power, return to Hyetta and speak with her outside the chamber.
Touch Hyetta when prompted to pass the chaotic energy to her, causing her to deliver a final prophecy before her body succumbs to the heat. Once her dialogue completes and she passes away, you can inspect her remaining belongings to claim the sacred seal. This weapon automatically scales with Strength, Dexterity, Intelligence, and Faith while bolstering all chaos-based incantations by twenty percent.
